A wedding in the fall..
How daring must you be to have your wedding near the end of September?
Did I mention I’m talking about a vintage, outdoors country wedding? Well, Christy and Evristhenis were daring enough and we got a wonderful wedding in return.
And that was we found ourselves in a village in Northeaster Greece on the 24th of September.
A sunny yet cold day, with friends arriving from all over the country to be with the lovely couple.
Christy had found the magic formula to make sure that her clients’ weddings were phenomenal per usual, and still managed to create the most amazing setting and wedding for herself.
Staying close to tradition but not shying from a retro modernism this wedding was hands down one of the best I’ve ever shot. The harmony and serenity of this wedding
along with the beautiful autumn nature made this shooting even more so special to me. The little church where the ceremony took place allowed for picturesque but not corny takes,
and I was truly excited to use for the first time at a wedding my new Nikon 105mm 1.4G lens.
The images that came out were more than amazing making it worth the enormous weight I had to lift and carry given that the 105mm 1.4G was combined with a Nikon D5!!
All in all, with my new lens, the spectacular autumn colours and of course the amazing couple with the majestic yet cozy wedding make me truly happy to post this as my first 2016 work on the blog.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did,
Yours always,
Evan
